How frequently do you backup the files on your computer? If you are like most people, you don't overdo it and you simply feel as if nothing is ever going to happen to your important data. The speed at which the backup occurs is also something that needs to be considered. The initial backup is going to be complete but each subsequent backup should only be a snapshot of your computer and any changes that took place since the last backup occurred. Along with this, there should be older versions that are kept of your files so that you can step back in history if necessary due to a computer virus or other major issue.
Finally, always make sure that the backup software is going to store your information either locally or remotely, depending upon your preference. Having the option to store it away from your computer helps to keep your files much more secure.
